Pláž Valeta, Poreč, Istrie

Valeta beach, located on the north- wastern part of the Lanterna peninsula, 13 km from the city of Porec. It is frequentd by the guests of the nearby camping place, but also by other visitors and tourists. The beach is low-lying, pebbly and most visited part at the bottom of the cove. Between the shingled surface and the asphalted paths there is a grassy sun bathing area. It extends over about 200 m. The enterance into the sea is facilitated by the stone stairs with metal hand holds. The access to the beach is secured via pathways. The camping and the beach as well have many facilities, including accommodation, restaurants, sport facilities, sanitary facilities, life-saving and first-aid equipment, etc. The beach takes part in local and regional actions on environmental education in cooperation with Eco-schools and tourism board, such as cleaning actions and information about protected species. The beach displays environmental information on several boards, including the one in the camp and on the beach itself.
