The Cathedral of St. Marko was built in Gothic – Renaissance style with the original stone of the Island of Korcula. Inside is an altar with the relics of St. Theodore. To St. Theodore is also dedicated the procession on the feast town of Korcula which is held on July 29. The Cathedral of St Marko is a 3-nave church in which you will find so many works, including: painting by Tintoretto “Annunciation”, the icon of “Our Lady of the island,” the reneissance tabernacle, the altarpiece altar, the bronze statue of St. Blaise, the “Pieta” by Ivan Mestrovic. The bell tower of St. Mark’s Cathedral is a Romanesque tower with a supola decorated by Marko Andrijić.
