The economy of the town of Njivice is based primarily on fishing, on the cultivation of olives and cattle breeding. The fishing nets, the houses on the sea and the boats form the distinctive image of Njivice. Today, however, Njivice is an important tourist center of the island of Krk with beautiful pebble beaches and crystal clear sea. You can find accommodation in hotels and camping but also in private apartments. In 1930, with the construction of the Luka (today Jadran) and Villa Dinka, began the tourist tradition of Njivice.
